Note: To be able to send captured text to Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Outlook, you must have the respective application installed on your computer.
The installation program will guide you through the installation process. Please close all the applications prior to installing ABBYY Screenshot Reader 11.
To install ABBYY Screenshot Reader 11:
- Insert the ABBYY Screenshot Reader 11 CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive. The installation program will be launched automatically.
Tip: If the installation program is not launched automatically, double-click the Setup.exe file located on the ABBYY Screenshot Reader 11 CD-ROM.- Follow the installation instructions.
Installation options
You will be prompted to choose an interface language during installation.
Installation of ABBYY Screenshot Reader 11 on a network server can only be carried out by the system administrator. The installation consists of two stages. First, the program is installed on the server. From the server, the program can be installed on workstations using one of the four methods:
- Active Directory
- Task Scheduler
- from the command line
- manually in interactive mode
To start ABBYY Screenshot Reader 11, select Start>Programs and then select the ABBYY Screenshot Reader 11 item.
Note: In Microsoft Windows 8, select the ABBYY Screenshot Reader 11 on the Start screen.
